Allardyce: Go on YouTube to see what new West Ham signing is capable of

Sam Allardyce has recommended fans check out new West Ham United signing Morgan Amalfitano's goal at Old Trafford last season for West Brom.

West Ham clinched the loan signing of Morgan Amalfitano on transfer deadline day, and manager Sam Allardyce is thrilled with the addition.

The Frenchman spent last season on loan at West Bromwich Albion, scoring four goals and providing three assists.

Allardyce is positive the Frenchman's versatility and creativity will help with his aim to get the team playing a successful, and attractive style of football.

And keen to demonstrate what Amalfitano can do, he urged fans to log onto YouTube to take a look at his solo goal scored against Manchester United last season at Old Trafford:

"Morgan fits the bill as he plays in three positions - down the right, down the left or in the hole - and his goal at Old Trafford last year sprang to mind when the deal came about.

"If anybody hasn't done it, they should get on YouTube and see what he did there last year. If he can reproduce that on a regular basis and score and provide goals, then we have a very good player on our hands."

Fans will hope Allardyce did a little more in depth research than a quick internet search on the player, and the boss added that he spoke to former Baggies boss Steve Clarke to get the low down on the 29-year-old.

"I spoke to Steve a few days ago and he told me nothing but good things about Morgan, so he fits the bill and he adds more creativity to the team."
