Tottenham Hotspur completed the transfer deadline day capture of Montpellier midfielder Benji Stambouli.
The 24-year-old holding player was given a tour of Tottenham’s facilities as he completed the move from Ligue One.
His arrival seemingly paved the way for Brazilian midfielder Sandro to go and link up with former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp.
Central midfield is one of the strongest areas in the current Tottenham Hotspur squad and it will be interesting to see if Mauricio Pochettino gives Stambouli a prominent role in the first team.
The Frenchman, who has 14 caps for the France under-21 side, could go straight into the team following Tottenham’s drubbing at the hands of Liverpool last weekend.
Despite that result, Spurs should be confident they now have a decent squad of players capable of competing in all competitions over the course of a very long season.
The look and feel of the facilities shown to Stambouli in the video is top class and he can’t help but have been impressed.
