Former Manchester United midfielder Shinji Kagawa appears to be as popular as ever with Borussia Dortmund fans.
BVB have joined the club’s boss Jurgen Klopp in revealing their delight at the Japanese star’s return to the Bundesliga as several posed with Kagawa t-shirts.
Kagawa endured a frustrating career at Old Trafford, confined to the left hand side of midfield but he’s been offered an olive branch by Klopp as Dortmund completed an £8 million deal last weekend.
He seems to be a universally popular figure for the way he gets his head down and simply works hard.
His first team chances at United were bleak following Louis van Gaal’s change to a 3-5-2 system and the summer arrivals of Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid and Ander Herrera from Athletic Bilbao.
Dortmund have a record of won one and lost one from two games so far this season and Kagawa could go straight into the side for the next league game against Freiburg after the international break.
