Manchester United’s Anders Lindegaard tweets after transfer window closes

Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard shows his commitment to the club by taking to social networking site Twitter on Monday night.

Anders Lindegaard has been at Manchester United since 2010, but he has made just 19 Premier League appearances.

The Denmark international is merely a squad player at the Red Devils, and this summer he was linked with a move away from the club.

New manager Louis van Gaal was reported not to be impressed with Lindegaard and wanted to move him on.

On Monday afternoon, it was reported in the British press that the Dutchman wanted to sell him and sign Netherlands international Kenneth Vermeer instead.

However, the summer transfer window has closed and Lindegaard remains part of the United team for the 2014-15 season.

Following Monday's 11pm deadline, the former Aalesund star took to social networking site Twitter to show his commitment to United.

Whether or not Van Gaal does not like Lindegaard as a footballer has not been verified, but the Dane remains a player for United and seems ready to do his best to take the Manchester outfit back to the pinnacle of English football.
