Danny Welbeck is officially an Arsenal player, signing a five-year deal with the Gunners.
The Englishman answered a late need from Arsene Wenger's side for a striker, with Olivier Giroud injured days before the transfer deadline.
While the fee was officially undisclosed by the club's official website, it is rumoured to be in the region of £16 million.
The club announced: "The transfer is subject to the completion of regulatory formalities. Everyone at Arsenal welcomes Danny to the club and looks forward to his contribution in an Arsenal shirt this season."
Welbeck is a player who has divided opinion with his performances for Manchester United and England, due to the fact he is not seen as a prolific forward.
A run of games as first choice striker with the likes of Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla and Alexis Sanchez supplying him can certainly change this perception.
Welbeck is a striker well suited to Arsenal's system, due to his pace and movement, and joins a number of talented British players at a similar age to him.
The 23-year-old is able to boast at already being a Premier League champion, and his best years are clearly ahead of him.
While few United fans or Arsenal supporters would not swap him for Radamel Falcao, he has the potential to be a very intriguing and successful addition to the North London side.
Here is how Arsenal fans reacted to the transfer announcement via Twitter:
Welbeck is a gunner then. Hope he does well. Has good pace & link play. Needs to improve on certain aspects but he'll come good. #afc— Paul Manson (@PMansonAFC) September 2, 2014
Welbeck might not be the answer but if he does join we need to give him a chance #AFC— Gordon (@Arsenal_Supremo) September 1, 2014
