Hull City have signed midfielder Mohamed Diame from West Ham.
The midfielder made a £3 million switch, adding depth to the club's midfield as they look to build on a start to the season which sees them sitting ninth in the Premier League.
Hull manager Steve Bruce told the club's website: "I'm delighted to welcome Mo to the club. His experience, both at international level and in the Premier League will be invaluable as we look to cement our place in the top-flight."
Diame signed for West Ham two seasons ago on a free transfer from Wigan, but had been due to sign for Liverpool before Kenny Dalglish was sacked.
He was linked subsequently with Arsenal, but neither club followed up their interest despite the low release clause in his contract.
Diame had featured in all three of West Ham's games this season, each as a substitute, accumulating only 57 minutes of game time.
In 79 matches for the Hammers he scored seven times, and provided four assists.
Here is a look at how West Ham fans reacted to his departure:
When Diame first joined #whufc he was immense. Now that he's left I couldn't care less. Inconsistent and increasingly, unprofessional & lazy— Andy Robinson (@Espio1) September 1, 2014
Mo Diame. How the mighty fall! He thought he was better than #WHUFC and now signs for a Championship Team for next year! Thanks and Goodbye!— Daren Game 父 (@DarenGame) September 1, 2014
Sad to see Mo Diame go, if Hull play him centrally where he wants to play they've got a good player. Shame we use him as a winger #WHUFC— Dale St John (@DaleSaintJ) September 1, 2014
Can't complain we signed Mo Diame on a free sold him for 3 million good business to be fair #WHUFC— Khaleem (@khaleemazam) September 1, 2014
Sad to see Diame leave #WHUFC. Came to club on a free transfer & helped us while here. He'll be remembered for goals vs Man Utd & Arsenal.— Stutterin' Stan (@stutterinstan) September 1, 2014
