Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel has been pictured in AC Milan colours for the first time.
The Dutchman donned a Milan training top as he underwent his medical ahead of a season long loan move to the San Siro, which will grant him the chance to increase his first team experience.
Van Ginkel arrived at Chelsea as one of the biggest talents in Dutch football but was unfortunate to miss the majority of last season through injury, after he picked up a knee problem playing against Swindon Town.
Unfortunately for MvG, the midfield is one of the most competitive areas in Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea squad, with several current first team stars all ahead of the Dutchman in the pecking order.
Van Ginkel had been linked with a move to Milan for most of last week but the deal finally looks like being officially concluded at some point before this evening’s 11pm transfer deadline.
