Benjamin Stambouli has posed with a Tottenham Hotspur shirt after completing his move from Montpellier.
The 24-year-old defensive midfielder has signed for a reported £4.7million and becomes the latest player to join Mauricio Pochettino's new-look Spurs side.
Stambouli has played 129 times for Montpellier, and while he may not be the headline name many fans were expecting he is experienced and is a cut-price alternative to long-term target Morgan Schneiderlin.
Tottenham already have a number of central midfielders on their books, but some have failed to shine in recent times and the addition of Stambouli could work to both strengthen the Tottenham squad and force those already there to up their game.
Stambouli also appeared 14 times for the French under-21s, although he has yet to be capped at senior level.
