Manchester City and England international right back looks set to transfer to Fiorentina on deadline day.
Fiorentina have published a photograph of English right back Micah Richards in Florence on their official social media accounts.
The 26-year-old has represented City for 13 years having played for the club at various youth levels, before graduating into the senior set-up in 2005. He has played 245 games for the first team but has become surplus to requirements in recent months after Bacary Sagna was bought in order to provide competition to Pablo Zabaleta.
Fiorentina said on Twitter: "26-year-old Manchester City right-back Micah Richards has landed in Florence ahead of a potential move."
The deal is expected to be on a one-year loan basis with an option for the Serie A team to complete a permanent transfer at the end of the temporary contract.
Richards could be one of a number of player sales at the Etihad Stadium today as City look to offload fringe stars in order to relieve some high earners from their wage bill in order to be Financial Fair Play compliant.
Central defender Matija Nastisic could be the next Citizen to be sold.
