Danny Welbeck may have been linked with a move away from Manchester United today, but a switch does not seem imminent just yet.
Welbeck has been pictured reporting for England training as normal this morning, as the Three Lions look to prepare for their matches against Norway and Switzerland this week.
The 23-year-old has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Sunderland and Hull City – with United reportedly keen to offload him – but the fact he was at training for England suggests that any conclusion to a move away from Old Trafford is some way off.
Spurs are supposedly the favourites to land the powerful attacker, but United have previously stated that they did not want to loan him to a top six side.
It is thought that Welbeck could be available on loan for the season for a fee of around £4 million and United’s transfer business today has done little to suggest that he has a first-team future this campaign.
The Red Devils are on the verge of bringing in Falcao from Monaco, meaning that Welbeck’s route to the first team has further complications and a move away could be best for his development.
