Chelsea allowed Fernando Torres an exit from the club this weekend, as he made the move to AC Milan for a two-season loan deal. The Spaniard had struggled during his time at the club and the arrival of Diego Costa and Didier Drogba seemed to seal his fate. The striker wanted out and he got his wish, Chelsea signing Loic Remy as his replacement.
But he is not alone in becoming a Chelsea player heading off to Milan on a loan deal. The club splashed out on Marco van Ginkel last summer. The player chose Chelsea over Ajax, much to the displeasure of the Dutch side. But he suffered an early and serious knee injury that ruled him out of the majority of last season.
He would have been hoping for more game time this season but the arrival of Cesc Fabregas added to competition for places at the club so he has also made the switch to the San Siro this Transfer Deadline Day.
And he has shown off some pictures of himself at the club after finalising the deal via his official Facebook account.
