Tottenham signing Benjamin Stambouli has revealed he will get started training at the club immediately after sealing his transfer.
The midfielder clinched his move from Montpellier on deadline day, and is confident he made the right choice.
In an interview with French newspaper L'Equipe, translated by Get Football News France, Stambouli has spoken about his initial exchanges with new manager Mauricio Pochettino.
He said: "I met Mauricio Pochettino today (Monday). He still has good small remnants of speaking French (he played at Paris-SG and Bordeaux). This is a coach who wants to establish a philosophy of game I like. I had a very good feeling. I got a home that looks like a family. Tomorrow I start training."
Many of Tottenham's players are on international duty, but Stambouli will be able to get down to business immediately in terms of acclimatising to his new surroundings.
The 24-year-old is a former French under-21 international, and the switch to Spurs will help his profile and give him a better platform on which to earn a call-up to the senior side.
