The Uruguayan raised a few eyebrows by returning to the training ground of the club he left this summer.
Suarez was photographed with Reds captain Steven Gerrard holding a Barcelona shirt signed by the Uruguayan on his visit back to Melwood, and met up with former teammates including Jon Flanagan and Glen Johnson.
The Uruguayan's time at Liverpool was overshadowed by controversy after he was found guilty of using racist language towards Patrice Evra, and biting Branislav Ivanovic - but he showed himself to be one of the most gifted players at Anfield during the Premier League era - which included him scoring 31 Premier League goals last season, picking up two Player of the Year awards.
The forward is currently serving a four month ban after biting another player in Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup whilst playing for Uruguay against Italy. He won't be able to make his competitive debut for Barcelona until late October against Real Madrid.
The thanked his ex-teammates for the good times they had. The forward only won one trophy at the club, the League Cup in 2012.
Today I could say goodbye to some friends, it was exciting to remember the good moments that we lived together. (1/2)— Luis Suarez (@LuisSuarez9) September 1, 2014
