9pm Deadline Day news: Blind unveiled, Falcao at Carrington, Welbeck close

Manchester United, Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Queens Park Rangers, Hull City and Crystal Palace all feature.

Breaking news

Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley may struggle to get much game time this season, and is being chased by both Aston Villa and Everton ahead of the 11pm deadline.

Crystal Palace favourite Glenn Murray could be set to leave Selhurst Park as he undergoes a medical at Reading.

Jermain Defoe is said to be available after Toronto sacked former Spurs defender Ryan Nelsen as coach. The England striker has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, with QPR and Leicester those most interested.

Any arrival of Defoe could be as a result of Fabio Borini's failed move to Loftus Road from Liverpool. The two clubs had agreed a fee but personal terms could not be put together between the player and the Hoops.

QPR are also chasing Niko Kranjcar, with the Croatian star looking to rejoin after his loan spell last season. Kranjcar has arrived at Loftus Road to work on a deal.

Promising Manchester United players Tom Lawrence and Michael Keane are said to be lined up for moves to Leicester City and Burnley respectively.

Cardiff City are looking like bringing back former defensive star Danny Gabbidon back to the club on a free transfer, in a player-coach role.

Fredy Guarin has been linked all over Europe this summer, and now Real Madrid are said to be making some late enquiries towards the Inter Milan star.

Out of favour Newcastle winger Hatem Ben Arfa is rumoured to be in discussions with Hull City over a move.

Ongoing developments

Valencia are in negotiations to wrap up a deal for Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo, who is set to sign on loan before an agreed permanent transfer at the end of the year.

After looking odds on for a move to Tottenham, Danny Welbeck seemed to have been ushered in the side door at the Emirates, with varying reports of a loan and permanent move reported. Arsenal officials had however 'categorically denied' that the player has undergone a medical. Gunners legend Alan Smith told Sky Sports News that Emirates contacts have confirmed a deal/

Any move for the England man may be hinging on the one superstar signing of the day, Manchester United's loan deal for Radamel Falcao. The Colombian icon is at Carrington in order to complete his medical and become a United player, where he will be bringing in £346,000-per-week in wages and costing a £6m loan fee.

QPR are edging closer to tying up a deal for Tottenham midfield general Sandro, with manager Harry Redknapp confirming that the 25-year old is undergoing a medical

Done deals

Ajax's website crashed after they confirmed defender/midfielder Daley Blind has joined former Dutch boss Louis van Gaal at Manchester United in a £14m deal. United have since confirmed the deal.

Hull City have signed West Ham United powerhouse Mohamed Diame, the second of two deals announced by the Tigers today after Abel Hernandez's club record move from Palermo.

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Spurs defender Zeki Fryers, who has signed a three-year deal.

Gus Poyet has secured the signing of Inter Milan midfielder Ricardo Alvarez, who joins Sunderland on a season long loan.
