Tottenham Player Ratings vs Liverpool - Kaboul, Bentaleb and Adebayor struggle

Tottenham slipped to a 3-0 defeat to Liverpool this afternoon, but how did Mauricio Pochettino's side fare individually?

Hugo Lloris 5 - couldn't do much with the goals but his distribution was poor throughout, and took his "sweeper keeper" role too far in the first half, almost punished by Mario Balotelli.

Eric Dier 5 - the award of the penalty in the second half was harsh, but Dier came crashing back down to earth today with a shaky display.

Younes Kaboul 4 - a nightmare for the Frenchman from the first whistle to the last. Error prone, poor in possession and seemingly too slow to keep up with Daniel Sturridge, Raheem Sterling and Mario Balotelli.

Jan Vertonghen 5 - wildly out of position for the opening goal and unconvincing throughout, this was far from Vertonghen's best game for Spurs.

Danny Rose 4 - whilst he got an England call-up this week, Rose showed little to justify that today. Another one caught out of position for the first goal, Rose offered little going forward and was exposed defensively all afternoon.

Etienne Capoue 6 - got on the ball far more than anyone else in the Spurs team with 115 touches, but did little to affect the game for Spurs, mostly playing sideways passes.

Nabil Bentaleb 4 - the love-in surrounding Bentaleb grows more and more bizarre, as the Algerian international looked totally overwhelmed by Liverpool's high pressing.

Erik Lamela 5 - a bit of a step back from last week's sensational display against QPR, but Lamela worked hard and was one of the only Tottenham players to try and make something happen in the second half.

Christian Eriksen 5 - really disappointing display from Eriksen. Too often dribbled down blind alleys and gave the ball away, giving Spurs little creativity.

Nacer Chadli 4 - whereas last week Chadli notched two goals, he missed a great chance when clean through on goal and didn't really threaten from then on.

Emmanuel Adebayor 4 - the former Arsenal striker offered very little today, with only Hugo Lloris touching the ball fewer times than Adebayor from the starting line-up.

Ben Davies 5 - Came on after Danny Rose sustained an injury, but was given little to do.

Moussa Dembele 6 - came on and passed with a purpose, looked to get the ball forward rather than sideways, and was one of the few bright spots.

Andros Townsend 4 - awful error for Alberto Moreno's goal and offered nothing going forward.
