All the latest summer transfer news from Serie A...
The big story breaking today is that Torino forward Alessio Cerci is poised to finally leave the club after months of speculation. The Italian international has been the subject of transfer speculation all summer, with Everton and Arsenal believed to have joined the race for his signature after it was made apparent that the 27-year-old wanted to leave Turin.
Now, Arsenal look set to miss out on Cerci after reports suggested that he was set for a flight to Spain in order to undergo a medical with Atletico Madrid. Cerci is valued at around €20m, yet it remains to be seen whether it's a permanent or loan deal. Either way, it seems that Cerci is poised for a move to Spain rather than Arsenal, leaving the Gunners to look for other targets.
AC Milan have snapped up Chelsea's Fernando Torres as a replacement for now-Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli, but they may not be done with negotiations with the Blues after Milan's TV channel admitted that the club had agreed to terms with Jose Mourinho's side over a move to sign Dutch midfielder Marco van Ginkel on a season-long loan deal.
Meanwhile, Leeds United's influx from Italy continues. Following the takeover of Massimo Cellino, the likes of Marco Silvestri, Gaetano Berardi, Giuseppe Bellusci, Tommaso Bianchi and Mirko Antenucci have all arrived at Elland Road and now Cellino has completed a swoop on his former club Cagliari after it was confirmed that Brazilian playmaker Adryan and defender Dario del Fabro have signed for the club on loan for the season.
Finally, Fiorentina's search for a midfielder has ended with the capture of Hamburg star Milan Badelj. La Viola had Anderson on loan from Manchester United for the second half of last season, but will instead move to sign Croatian international Badelj after Hamburg had snapped up Napoli's Valon Behrami earlier this summer.
