AC Milan got their new era under Flippo Inzaghi under way in style this evening - as they despatched of SS Lazio at the San Siro.
Goals form Keisuke Honda, Sulley Muntari and Jeremy Menez proved enough, despite an Alex own goal, to defeat the Roman side 3-1 on the day, and get their important Serie A campaign off to a flyer.
And there was one very interested spectator, a certain Mr Fernando Torres.
The Spanish striker has finalised a two-year loan at the club from Chelsea today, Chelsea signing Loic Remy as his replacement from QPR in an £8 million swoop.
And he was at the San Siro to see his new team in action. He would have been pleased with what he has seen, and the Rossoneri faithful will be hoping Torres can find his scoring form from his Liverpool days to replace Mario Balotelli.
