Tottenham 0-3 Liverpool: Reds continue fine recent form against Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur lost 3-0 at home to Liverpool on Sunday lunch-time.

Liverpool continued their fine recent form against Tottenham Hotspur, running out 3-0 winners at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Raheem Sterling put the visitors ahead in the 8th minute, after he was set up by the impressive Jordan Henderson.

Steven Gerrard then scored from the penalty spot after Joe Allen was fouled by Eric Dier in the Tottenham box; and Alberto Moreno put the icing on the cake by scoring a third just short of the hour mark to suggest he may be a very handy player to have going forward as well as in defence.

Mario Balotelli also had chances to score but the Italian was wasteful.

Tottenham had the majority of the ball but they only managed one shot on target in the entire match, and the fact that Liverpool had 17 shots, eight of which were on target, tells its own story.

Spurs will have much better days than this, but they will not want to face the Reds anytime soon.  As for Liverpool, they can be very pleased with their day's work.
