Steve Bruce has confirmed that Hull City are after Tom Cleverley.
While Manchester United were struggling against Burnley at Turf Moor the club were also putting together their £13.8 million move for Ajax utility man Daley Blind.
But while plenty are arriving at the club, others are having to leave. They have already managed to get Nani and Wilfried Zaha out of the club. Shinji Kagawa is in Germany discussing a return to Borussia Dortmund while the club are looking to let Anderson, Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley leave the club.
Cleverley has struggled in the post-Ferguson era United, and is available for around £8 million. Despite his poor form over the past 18 months he has plenty of suitors.
Aston Villa have had a bid accepted for the player but are not believed to be pursuing the deal because of his massive wages. Meanwhile he could go abroad. Valencia are looking at his signature, which would certainly suit the playing style of the England international, and might be his best move.
However Hull City boss Steve Bruce, himself United alumni, is also keen on the player. And he has confirmed so this morning.
"There has been conversations between the two clubs and we did have some sort of offer, but where we are up to between the two clubs I am not too sure because I have been away in London. If there's a deal to be done to try and sign someone like Tom, then of course we'll be interested."
It seems that Cleverley is not out of options then this summer, it looks like a question of making the right choice.
