It turns out the ‘Voyeur for September’ tease was for a new Super Meat Boy game
Super Meat Boy Forever was revealed at the PAX game expo on Friday.
Team Meat’s latest creation, as shown in the announcement tease below, continues the gory, cartoon 2D platforming in Super Meat Boy.
According to the description that accompanies the video : “Our goal with SMB:F is to design a new full length platformer for touch devices from the ground up to avoid tacking bad controls on an existing design. we want to make something that embodies the original Super Meat Boy but is designed around a simple yet intuitive control scheme allowing for pin point accuracy and surprisingly deep controls without the use of multiple buttons/analog sticks.”
Stating the game will be available for phones, tablets and on Steam, it’s noted “SMB:F is not an endless runner, but will feature an endless mode with online high scores and daily runs,“ dispelling early speculation that Super Meat Boy Forever is an endless runner game.
A tease for Super Meat Boy Forever leading up to the event, which mentioned the title A Voyeur for September bears no resemblance at all to the game that was revealed. It has been pointed out that 'A Voyeur for September' is an anagram of 'Super Meat Boy Forever.'
