A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur

French newspaper L’Equipe reports that Tottenham Hotspur could complete the transfer of Benjamin Stambouli today.

The 24-year-old defensive midfielder currently plays for Ligue 1 side Montpellier, but reports on Friday claimed a deal had been reached between the two clubs.

The latest reports claim Tottenham are set to pay the transfer fee in two instalments after the French side had initially requested that was done in three payments.

In other news, Football Italia reports that fresh talks have taken place between Napoli and Spurs regarding the possible transfer of Sandro.

The Brazilian midfielder has been tipped for this particular move for quite some time; and it is now being claimed the Italian side will attempt to invest €9million in the midfielder before deadline-day comes to a close, despite reported competition from Queens Park Rangers.
