Everton have completed two of their most exciting striker transfers in their history this summer. The arrival of Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea for £28 million smashed their club transfer record. On top of that they also signed Cameroonian legend Samuel Eto'o.
Eto'o has been at some of the biggest clubs in the world and has won the Champions League, even scoring in the odd final. His signature on a free is certainly one of the coups of the summer. Lukaku was another story. He was excellent on loan at Goodison last term and now they have obliterated their previously frugal transfer business with the Belgian's signing.
Of course both previously played for Chelsea, who Everton take on this evening at Goodison Park. Eto'o, who took the number 5 shirt this week, has clearly been getting acquainted with Lukaku - the added help obviously being the pair speak French.
And they were snapped in their suits ahead of the game, as they look set to take on their former team Chelsea. They will be hoping to send Jose Mourinho away with a glum look on his face, after he decided to let the pair go this summer.
Can Lukaku and Eto'o down Chelsea?
