New Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock is hoping to bolster his backline with the addition of Zeki Fryers before the end of the transfer window, as the Tottenham Hotspur man has fallen down the pecking order at White Hart Lane following Mauricio Pochettino's arrival.
The 21-year-old left-back has made just 16 appearances for the Lilywhites since joining from Standard Liege in January 2013, and Ben Davies's arrival this summer means that he is unlikely to see much action at Spurs this season.
The former Manchester United defender can also play at centre-back, but he is unlikely to force his way into Pochettino's plans ahead of Danny Rose, Kyle Naughton and the aforementioned Davies.
Warnock is keen to bring in a left-back before Monday's deadline and is also believed to be tracking Queens Park Rangers' Armand Traore.
Warnock has already seen Wilfried Zaha return to the club on a season-long loan deal since his appointment as Tony Pulis's successor on Wednesday, while a move for Wigan Athletic's James McArthur is also in the pipeline.
