Manchester United transfer news: Potential Rojo blow, £14m Blind deal, £7m midfielder considering move

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

The Sun claims Marcos Rojo may never complete his move to Manchester United as the dispute between his former club Sporting Lisbon and Doyen Sports continues.

Despite United agreeing a £16million transfer earlier this month, the Argentine international is yet to be granted a work permit while it is being claimed that the issues surrounding third-party ownership have yet to be resolved.

To say he may never play for United could be something of an exaggeration, and yet the simple fact is fans of the club may be getting worried considering the player was first tipped to make his debut a week ago and yet seems no closer to getting the necessary clearance.

In other news, the Mirror reports that Tom Cleverley is sizing up a possible move to Aston Villa after holding talks with the club’s assistant manager Roy Keane on Friday.

The England international may move on for around £7million, but it remains to be seen if he will be happy with the switch.

And finally, reports from the Daily Mail and emanating in Holland claim United have finally agreed a £14million fee with Ajax for Daley Blind.

If true, that will come as great news to those United fans eager to see more reinforcements arrive prior to Monday’s deadline.
