Fantasy managers have had two weekends to try and judge if they've picked the right team for the season, though it is still early and there will be plenty more to think about after this weekend and the closure of the transfer window on Monday.
Louis Van Gaal's struggling Manchester United side travel to Burnley in this weekend's opening game on Saturday lunchtime and it is still a gamble to have any United players in your side after such a poor start to the new campaign.
Arsenal have a tricky away trip to Leicester to deal with while Manchester City host Stoke, and the Citizens squad will be expected to pick up plenty of fantasy points this weekend.
Here are five players you should consider for Gameweek 3:
DEF - Vincent Kompany - Manchester City
Kompany is a very expensive option in defence, but one that will surely prove his value once again this weekend as he prepares to captain the side against Stoke. The Potters have scored just once in their first two games and have failed to look impressive in the final third so far, and as a result Kompany and the rest of the City defence will expect to keep a clean sheet on Saturday. City have not conceded at home to Stoke in the past four seasons and will likely make it five years in a row.
DEF - Fabricio Coloccini - Newcastle
The Argentine defender is a relatively cheap option at the back but one which could pick up a decent amount of points this weekend as the Magpies prepare to face Crystal Palace on Saturday in what will be Neil Warnock's first game in charge. Newcastle kept a clean sheet at Aston Villa last week and beat Palace 1-0 last season at home. Expect Coloccini to score a few points this week.
MID - Remy Cabella - Newcastle
Another Newcastle player to consider in playmaker Remy Cabella, who will hope to help the Magpies score their first goal of the season on Saturday. He looked very good in the opener against City and had a few decent opportunities at Villa Park last week that he didn't capitalise on. He will look to impress in front of a home crowd as Newcastle look to get their first win of the season.
MID - Alexis Sanchez - Arsenal
The Chilean is labelled as a midfielder but will likely start as the lone striker for the Gunners trip to Leicester on Sunday due to Olivier Giroud's absence. He struggled at Everton last week but scored in Wednesday's 1-0 win against Besiktas and that goal should fill him with confidence. He is an expensive option at 10.4 but one that could score plenty of points from now, starting on Sunday.
FOR - Emmanuel Adebayor - Spurs
Adebayor will start as the lone striker for Spurs against Liverpool on Sunday and he has looked in good form so far this season. He scored last week in the 4-0 win against QPR and will have a good chance of adding to his tally for the season against the Reds this weekend. The Liverpool defence have looked far from solid and conceded three against City on Monday night. Adebayor is 8.5 and seems a solid pick for this weekend and beyond.
