Daley Blind appears to be close to moving to Manchester United after Ajax gave him permission to speak to the Premier League giants.
Ajax star Daley Blind seems to be close to moving to Manchester United after he was left out of his side’s Eredivisie clash against Groningen on Sunday.
Reports emerged on Friday evening that United have agreed a fee in the region of £14 million with Ajax over the transfer of the Netherlands international.
And on Saturday morning, the Dutch club stated on their official website that Blind has not been included in Frank de Boer’s squad for the match.

It was also announced that Blind has been given permission to speak to a club who are interested in his services, although the name of the team was not divulged.
Given how things have unfolded over the past few hours, it does seem that Blind will complete a move to United before Monday’s deadline.
The 24-year-old was a star for the Netherlands national team at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and was a key figure in the Oranje’s march to the semi-finals of the tournament.
Blind’s versatility to play in defence and in midfield combined with his relationship with United boss Louis van Gaal does make him a great fit for the Red Devils.
