Fernando Torres has yet to be officially confirmed as an AC Milan player, but he has already been welcomed by one of the greatest players in the history of the Italian club.
Spain international Torres is in Milan this morning to undergo a medical and put pen to paper on a two-year loan deal from Chelsea.
The 30-year-old has been in woeful form at the Blues since his £50 million switch from Liverpool in January 2011, and it seems that finally the Premier League club are ready to severe their ties with the striker.
However, that does not appear to have affected Italy and Milan legend Baresi, who took to social networking site Twitter on Saturday morning to welcome the former Atletico Madrid striker.
At Milan, Torres will be a replacement for Mario Balotelli, who joined Liverpool for a reported transfer fee of £16m earlier this month.
The departure of the 2010 World Cup winner is also expected to force Chelsea to delve into the transfer market, with Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy reported to be on their radar.
