Alessio Cerci has been left out of the Torino squad for the game with Inter Milan tomorrow.
Arsenal have been linked with plenty of players this summer but this week has seen an old flame rekindled. The club are said to be keen on the signature of Torino forward Alessio Cerci. The Italian international is believed to be valued at around £16 million and has also been targeted by AC Milan.
His club president Urbano Cairo has confirmed the player will be leaving for a team abroad, and has made it clear he is likely to make his way out of the Torino exit door over the next couple of days:
"There are still four days left in the transfer market, so we’ll see what happens. Of course my desire is to keep hold of him, but we’ll see if we can find a solution that suits everyone. I’ve given him my word that we’ll sell him if an adequate offer arrives. With Milan it’s all over. Arsenal? There are several options."
And now another big hint has been dropped that suggests he will be on his way out of the club, with Arsenal a potential destination.
Torino are taking on Inter Milan in Serie A tomorrow, and despite Cairo stating today that they are running out of time to sell the player, he has been left out of the squad for the fixture at the Olimpico di torino.
Cerci is also a target for Atletico Madrid so Arsenal do face a battle to snap him up if they are indeed keen on his services.
