Arsene Wenger gave updates on player fitness and transfer plans at his pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Leicester City.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger gave nothing away if he has transfer plans ahead of the Monday deadline, suggesting that he's keeping his cards close to his chest.
"All [transfer negotiations] need to be as secret as possible. I will be actively involved on deadline day. I will be alert until the last minute."
In relation to the questions about the centre forward role, Wenger again hinted that he wouldn't be moving for a forward before the end of the window.
"We have Sanogo, we have Sanchez, we have Walcott and we have Podolski - We have shown in the last two seasons that if there are [players to buy], we will do it."
Wenger also confirmed that Mikel Arteta and Kieran Gibbs will both be missing for the game against Leicester City this weekend.
"Arteta will be short and Kieran Gibbs as well. Aaron Ramsey is available again," said the boss.
The Arsenal boss also revealed his main worry in relation to Calum Chambers, who has been in great form at the start of this season.
"He has the quality to be where he is. The only danger is psychological."
"He has the character to deal with his first call up."
Wenger also gave his opinion on the Champions League draw, which saw the club paired with Borussia Dortmund yet again.
"It's difficult and looks a bit 'here we go again' with Dortmund."
Wenger also offered a message of sympathy for former goalkeeper Manuel Almunia who has been forced to retire because of a heart condition.
"It is very sad that he has a heart condition. I hope it's nothing bad for his future."
