Thomas Vermaelen is still not 100% fit, but he has stepped up his recovery to feature in his first game for Barcelona as soon as possible after making the move from Arsenal.
The Belgium international defender signed for the Spanish giants earlier this month for a reported transfer fee of £15 million.
Vermaelen was carrying a knock when he signed the five-year contract, having injured his hamstring at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The 28-year-old former Arsenal captain has still not fully recovered, but he is getting there - slowly and steadily.
On Friday, Vermaelen took to Instagram to keep the fans updated on his recovery. The centre-back posted the following photo with the message: ‘Good training sessions this week. A great weekend to you all!’

Barcelona do not seem to be missing Vermaelen much at the moment, as they kicked off their 2014-15 La Liga campaign with a 3-0 victory over Elche at Camp Nou last weekend.
On Sunday, Luis Enrique’s side will be looking to make it two out of two wins when they take on Villarreal away from home.
Will Thomas Vermaelen be the same player after he recovers from his injury?
