Let's cast our eyes back to this exact day, the 29th August 2014, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 29th August 2013…
Arsenal completed their second signing of the transfer window, and it was one that left fans aghast. Arsenal brought back Mathieu Flamini to the club on a free transfer. It was five years since he had snubbed a new deal at Arsenal in order to head to AC Milan on a free transfer, where he suffered an injury ravaged Italian nightmare.
In a bid to keep fit last summer he was training with The Gunners and impressed enough to earn himself a reported two-year deal back in North London.
It was a deal roundly criticised but Flamini went on to have a positive season at The Emirates and the mistakes of the past are now forgotten by most of his fans at the club.
Here we go Eto'o
It was all going off in the transfer market, as Chelsea confirmed the signing of a new striker. They finalised a deal to sign Samuel Eto'o on a one-year deal from Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala. The former Barcelona striker linked up with his former Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge, and went on to score some valuable goals before leaving on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Earlier this week he joined Premier League rivals Everton.
Ricardo not happy
ALERT! Toys out of the pram moment. West Ham attacker Ricardo Vaz Te handed in a strongly worded transfer request at West Ham after believing he was not wanted at the club.
The likes of Crystal Palace and Wigan were said to be interested but he is still at the club today. Dislocated shoulders and kneecaps as well as a hamstring tear have hampered any potential exit since this day a year ago.
