Manchester United transfer news: United beat City and Inter to Dutch youngster

A round up of transfer stories this morning about Manchester United.

The Daily Mail has suggested Manchester United are close to the signing of 16-year-old Timothy Fosu Mensah.

The defender will cost United an initial fee of around £300,000 as they prise him away from Dutch giants Ajax.

Manchester City and Inter Milan were reported to be interested in doing deals for him.

Manchester United have reportedly accepted an £8 million bid from Aston Villa for midfielder Tom Cleverley.

Cleverley has been consistently criticised by the club’s fans over the past year as he’s failed to develop in the first team.

United have several central midfield options similar to what Cleverley can current offer.

The Daily Star claims Manchester United could force Javier Hernandez into joining Juventus.

The paper suggests that it would be part of a plan to finally do a deal for Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal.

Reports appear on a daily basis suggesting United are trying to close out a transfer that would see Vidal move to Old Trafford.
