His first team opportunities may have been limited at Anfield this season with the signings of Lazar Markovic and Adam Lallana increasing competition within the side. Philippe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling are also in contention for places in the wider positions, whilst 20-year-old Suso could also be considered by Brendan Rodgers.
The youngster has shown plenty of promise and pace during his time in a red shirt and could be a star for the Reds in the future, but he needs to work on his end product.
Ibe has previously had a loan spell at Birmingham City, and follows in the footsteps of Andre Wisdom, who had a successful time working under Derby boss Steve McClaren.
