Leeds United fans have reacted angrily to the club's latest defeat to Bradford City and are united in their opinion that David Hockaday should be sacked.
Leeds United fans are understandably apoplectic with rage after their side’s latest defeat to Bradford City last night.
The Whites went down 2-1 in the League Cup clash yesterday evening and it has proved to be the final straw for the majority of their fanbase – with much of their anger being directed at David Hockaday.
The head-coach was a controversial choice upon his appointment as Leeds boss, due to his lack of experience in management, and his initial spell in charge of the club has done little to appease fans’ fears.
The 56-year-old has no experience in the Football League and has only managed two wins during his first six games in charge.
Leeds have snuck past Middlesbrough and League Two Accrington Stanley in their only successes of the campaign so far, but their performances throughout have been uninspiring.
Defeats against Millwall, Brighton, Watford and Bradford last night have meant there is a vocal majority desperate to see the back of Hockaday, who has spoken of his desire to guide the club to the Champions League in the recent past.
However, there are genuine concerns that they could be exiting the Championship in the wrong direction if he stays in charge and their defeat in the Yorkshire derby last night has further confirmed this opinion.
Leeds battled hard, but were short of quality in the match after Luke Murphy’s red-card put them on the back foot.
The Whites did take the lead with their first shot on target – when Matt Smith headed home – but they conceded twice almost immediately after and were consigned to a morale-sapping defeat.
It has caused anger, frustration and disillusionment amongst the considerable fan-base and here some of the best posts on Twitter about the current situation at Leeds.
Shocking night, Murphy idiotic, Hockaday forgot he had a bench and the team bottled it after going ahead #lufc— RightintheGaryKellys (@RITGK) August 27, 2014
I'm a bit advocate of giving managers time but Dave Hockaday needs to leave #lufc now. It's beyond a joke.— Kieran E. Roycroft (@Crofterz) August 28, 2014

On the bright side, at least #lufc can only be relegated one league at a time. Struggling for other positives after that though— Graham Snowdon (@gsnowdon) August 28, 2014
