Fernando Torres's representatives have been in contract talks with AC Milan today and there seems to have been progress.
Chelsea appear to have signed off on a season loan and the injury to Diego Costa doesn't seem to have presented a stumbling block to a deal.
However, Milan have been facing an uphill task in meeting Torres's wage demands and yesterday's reports in Italy suggested they were far short of the striker's expectations.
But after a meeting with Milan directors today, one of Torres's agents, Antonio Sanz, gave an upbeat response to the prospect of a move.
"Torres to Milan is a concrete possibility.
"We will still take the time to consider things before we give a reply. I can't say any more than that. Milan are a great club."
Sanz's comments seem to hint at the deal being on track despite suggestions in the Italian media that the Italian club had already begun to seek a fallback option.
