Sterling wishes departing Liverpool teen best of luck in Dutch adventure

FC Utrecht Europa League

Raheem Sterling was quick to wish Kristoffer Peterson all the best at FC Utrecht.

Liverpool have been bringing through plenty of young talent in the past couple of seasons, but one player who will not be making it at Anfield is young Swede Kristoffer Peterson.

The talented midfielder scored twice in pre-season and was taken on Liverpool's tour of the United States, so it looked as though he might have a future at the club after all.

However all his pre-season form did was attract suitors, one of which was Dutch Eredivisie outfit FC Utrecht. They made a move for the player and with a chance to play regular first-team football Liverpool allowed him a move to the club, signing a three-year deal.

One young player who knew Peterson well from their time together at the club was Rahemm Sterling. the England international is set to play a massive part in Liverpool's future, and is far from being a youth player at the squad these days.

But he did not forget his old mate when his departure was announced, taking to Twitter to wish him all the best for the future.
