All the latest transfer news and gossip from The Emirates this morning.
Arsenal defeated Besiktas yesterday but after the game much of the questioning for Arsene Wenger was on whether he would be delving into the market for a new striker, after revealing Olivier Giroud would be out until January with a broken bone in the base of his leg.
Wenger did not deny a potential move for a new striker, but he also said he would be happy if they did not sign one - needless to say more have been linked today.
Alessio Cerci is one that appears to be doing the rounds at the moment. The Torino forward is expected to leave the Italian club this summer and the club president Urbano Cairo has fuelled Arsenal rumours by stating:
"Cerci’s buyers are overseas."
The Italian international has also been linked with Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Another area in need of improvement is at centre back and Arsenal have reportedly won the race to sign Belgian international Toby Alderweireld.
The Atletico Madrid defender is surplus to requirements in the Spanish capital and has also been scouted by Southampton, Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
It is believed he could leave on an initial loan deal, before potentially agreeing a permanent deal either in January or at the end of the season.
Finally, and it is reported that the agent of Adrien Rabiot has arrived in England to finalise a move to The Emirates for the outstanding French talent.
His agent and mother are in London to discuss a move for the 19-year-old talent who has fallen out with the hierarchy at PSG, ahead of a £11.9 million move from the French to the English capital.
