If AC Milan are to secure the double swoop for Chelsea pair Fernando Torres and Marco van Ginkel (both pictured above), then the two attacking players must respond to an ultimatum given by the Serie A side.
Either settle personal negotiations by Saturday at noon, or face another season spent on the fringes of first team football at Stamford Bridge.
That is, according to Gianluca di Marzio, a renowned Sky Italia journalist with knowledge of the situation.
"Saturday at noon, in or out," the report stated.
"Milan sets the terms as a full-blown deadline is given by which Van Ginkel and Fernando Torres will have to give the definitive answer on their prospective transfer to the Rossoneri."
Should both end up exiting Chelsea, manager Jose Mourinho would likely only replace one - Torres, rather than van Ginkel.
With just Diego Costa and Didier Drogba as the two established strikers, the Blues would be one player short on quality centre forward options and so Mourinho may be tempted to reignite his apparent interest in AS Roma star Mattia Destro.
