Manchester United transfer news: Deal reportedly agreed with Vidal’s agent; Welbeck latest

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

Manchester United may have only just completed the British-record signing of Angel Di Maria but it seems they may just be getting started.

The Mirror has picked up on reports from Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport which claims an agreement has been reached with Arturo Vidal’s agent and that all that is required is the player’s signature after the representative was said to be in Manchester on Tuesday.

It is claimed the deal is a five-year offer although it remains to be seen if United can convince Juventus to sell in that time.

The Independent claims United could tempt the Italian giants’ hand by offering either Javier Hernandez or Shinji Kagawa in the deal – a rumour which first started doing the rounds earlier this month.

In other news, the Danny Welbeck to Arsenal rumour will not go away.

This time the Daily Mail claims the Gunners remain keen on the England international, but that United are reluctant to sell to the North London side.

The report claims Arsenal are set to explore a move for Welbeck, although whether or not a bid is forthcoming remains to be seen.
