Leeds United captain Jason Pearce used Twitter to express his sadness at the club's loss to Bradford City.
Leeds United suffered a defeat they desperately wanted to avoid, losing to Yorkshire rivals Bradford City in the Capital One Cup.
Leeds had gone 1-0 up in the 82nd minute at Valley Parade before two late goals from the Bantams secured a memorable victory for the home side.
United skipper Jason Pearce took to Twitter after the loss to express how he felt following the defeat.
So so so disappointed tonight- the boys gave everything.— JDP (@jpearce05) August 27, 2014
Midfielder Luke Murphy had been sent off in the first half after picking up two yellow cards leaving the away side with an uphill challenge.
A late goal from Matt Smith had appeared to tip the tie in favour of Leeds before Billy Knott and James Hanson netted in the 84th and 86th minutes to secure a win for the League One club.
The loss puts more pressure on Leeds boss Dave Hockaday, who the club had to deny earlier this week was close to being fired.
Bradford City, who reached the League Cup Final two seasons ago, have been drawn against Manchester United's conquerors MK Dons in the third round.
