Gauntlet reboot release pushed back to 23rd September

Warner Bros push the Gauntlet release back a few weeks. In the meantime a new walkthrough video is out.

Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment has announced the Gauntlet remake heading to PCs has been delayed. “The additional time was needed to fine-tune details in order to bring gamers an even more robust multiplayer experience.” said WBIE in a press release.

Gauntlet’s latest return, currently being developed by Maicka and Helldivers devs, Arrowhead Games, was originally due to land on 3rd September but will now launch on 23rd September instead.

Ahead of the now delayed release, a new video walkthrough has surfaced going into how the four classic Gauntlet classes have been jazzed-up. The video below also details the game’s back-story and shows how more modern RPG aspects, such as loot upgrades and procedurally generated dungeons will be used. It appears the hectic, endless monster slaying multiplayer action of the original is very much at the core of the remake.

Gauntlet is to be the first title in the 'WB Games Vault”, a drive to bring back games from the company’s extensive portfolio of intellectual property with the help of emergent new game industry talent.
