Arsenal squeezed into the Champions League group stages with a 1-0 win over Besiktas, and there were heroes all over the pitch.
Jack Wilshere and Alexis Sanchez were superb, combining effectively for the winning goal, but no player quite typified the battling display quite like Santi Cazorla.
Scorer of a superb free-kick in the FA Cup Final, the Spaniard has had a fairly quiet start to this campaign, but showed his readiness to get stuck in and fight for the cause against the Turks.
Offensively he had four shots on goal, although none landed on target, and created one goalscoring opportunity.
It was his work rate which really stuck out however, in a positive way - winning four tackles on the night, only bettered by Mathieu Flamini (5) and Nacho Monreal (6).
The Spaniard made two interceptions, as many as any midfielder, and helped stake a claim for a regular spot in the side when everybody including Theo Walcott is fit.
That will not include Olivier Giroud however, with Arsene Wenger confirming after the game the Frenchman has undergone surgery and will be out until late December at the earliest.
Here is a look at how Arsenal fans reacted on Twitter to Cazorla's performance...
