Sony take to Twitter to announce they’re working to resolve issues
Some users are currently facing connectivity problems with the PlayStation Network. This follows unexpected downtime for the service over the weekend caused by a DDoS attack.
Sony has tweeted to acknowledge they’re working on the problem.
Network update: engineers are aware of connectivity issues, are working to resolve. We'll keep you posted - apologies for the inconvenience— PlayStation (@PlayStation) August 26, 2014
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have also added that, ““We are currently experiencing minor network connectivity issues across PSN & SEN networks. We’re looking into this, thanks for your patience.”
It appears that the outage today isn’t as widespread as on the weekend as some users are currently still able to access the service. At the time of writing we have been able to sign into PSN in the UK.
