'I signed for the club of the future' - Star Chelsea sold is confident he made the right choice

Former Chelsea defender David Luiz says he made the right choice in signing for PSG.

Former Chelsea star David Luiz believes his choice of PSG is the best possible one he could have made.

The French champions paid a staggering €50 million to sign the Brazilian ahead of the World Cup, to partner him with his international centre-back Thiago Silva.

Jose Mourinho publicly criticised the defender during the pre-season, saying he felt the Blues are a better side without him, but Luiz is simply glad to be at the club of his dreams.

He is quoted in Spanish newspaper AS, commenting: "I'm sure I'll be happier here in Paris than it would have been in Barcelona and Munich.

"I really think PSG is the club of the future, so I'm happy to be here and I think I'll stay many years."

Chelsea halted PSG's Champions League charge last season, a competition Luiz went onto vow he is determined to win with the club.

Bayern Munich and Barcelona were both linked with him, but neither would have committed the huge fee PSG did to sign him.

After his performance in the World Cup semi-final, a 7-1 Germany win over Brazil, both sides are probably quite content for Luiz to enjoy his dream club.
