According to La Liga expert Guillem Balague, Chelsea and AC Milan have been in talks over the transfer of maligned striker Fernando Torres.
Both clubs are reportedly close to an agreement, however, personal terms with the player are yet to be discussed.
Should Torres be receptive to a Stamford Bridge exit, it is expected that Chelsea could receive £10 million - a £40 million loss on a player they broke the British transfer record for three years ago.
Chelsea were one of three Premier League clubs, along with Manchester City and Manchester United, who were press-linked with AS Roma centre back Mehdi Benatia.
The Morocco international will not be joining any England club, though, as Bayern Munich have snapped up the outstanding defender.
Neither Bayern nor Roma have disclosed the transfer fee involved, but the player has signed a five-year deal with the Bavarian kings.
