Speaking ahead of Manchester City's clash against Liverpool this evening, which takes place at the Etihad Stadium, skipper Vincent Kompany spoke to Sky Sports regarding the match-up and the Premier League landscape as a whole.
City have one of the strongest squads in world football and can call upon prolific strikers such as Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko, influential midfielders like Yaya Toure, David Silva and Samir Nasri and are now blessed in defence with Kompany, Eliaquim Mangala and Bacary Sagna.
However, rather than select one of the aforementioned players when asked who the most skillful player he has ever played with was, Kompany chose an international team-mate with Belgium - one who plays for a Premier League title rival; Chelsea.
"Eden Hazard," said Kompany.
In quick-fire answers, Kompany also said the most difficult opponent he has ever come up against is "Lionel Messi," that his favourite goal was "the header in the 2012 derby" and that his career highlight was the "6-1 victory over Man United."
