Di Maria in, Vidal to follow?
Angel di Maria has arrived in Manchester ahead of sealing his move to the Red Devils, pictured on his way to the club's Carrington training ground by The Mail late on Monday evening. The paper write that a club record £59.7 million fee has been agreed, plus add-ons.
There are likely to be more to follow, and The Telegraph report that Arturo Vidal could follow the Argentine to Old Trafford, writing: 'There remains a possibility of a move for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal'.
They add that Louis van Gaal is weighing up concerns over the Chilean's knee injury and deliberating whether to move for him now, or go for Kevin Strootman of Roma in January. The Dutchman may be buoyed by news that Vidal made his playing comeback for Juventus at the weekend.
Everton close on Eto'o deal
Everton are nearing a move to sign Samuel Eto'o, who remains a free agent after his release from Chelsea earlier this summer. The Liverpool Echo report that the striker is due at the club's Finch Farm training ground for a medical on Tuesday and is hoping to sign a two-year deal. Eto'o, 33, outscored Demba Ba and Fernando Torres at Chelsea last season.
Rhodes wants Hull City switch
Hull City are still hoping to sign Jordan Rhodes, despite Championship side Blackburn Rovers digging in and refusing to sell the Scottish international. The Mail report however that Rhodes is to make their job more difficult, claiming he intends on handing in a transfer request. Hull are seeking to replace Shane Long and could have to use the whole £12 million received to try to tempt Rovers.
Arsenal consider Remy
An injury scare for Olivier Giroud has prompted Arsenal to reconsider their stance on Loic Remy, The Mail report. Arsenal had stood by to see the Frenchman near a move to Liverpool earlier this summer before that deal broke down. Remy remains a QPR player, but has been linked with Tottenham and Chelsea since his move to Liverpool failed to materialise.
Mario Balotelli a Liverpool player
Earlier today... Mario Balotelli clinched his transfer to Liverpool, and admitted he felt he should never have quit the Premier League.
He was pictured watching the club in the stands at The Etihad next to new injured teammate Adam Lallana during their 3-1 defeat to his former side Manchester City.
