Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has hailed his defence, after two consecutive clean-sheets. Villa have kept both Stoke and Newcastle at bay so far this season – with Ron Vlaar and Philippe Senderos particularly impressive.

Andy King says Leicester performance should provide encouragement
Leicester City midfield ace Andy King believes that the side’s performance against Chelsea at the weekend should give the whole squad confidence.
The Foxes may have lost 2-0 to the Blues, but they acquitted themselves well and King believes if they start to become more ruthless they will prove they’re more than a match for anyone.
Quoted in the Leicester Mercury, King said: "The first hour we were brilliant, very positive. We played really well, but you have to take your chances at this level because they are going to score, especially at home...
"If we can come to places like Chelsea and play like that, we can cope with anyone."
Irvine delighted by new signing
West Brom manager Alan Irvine has been boosted by the arrival of Silvestre Varela at the club.
The fleet-footed winger signed up on a season-long-loan over the weekend, and the Baggies boss believes that he can offer a lot to the first-team squad.
“Silvestre is a vastly-experienced player, both with Porto and his national team, and I’m delighted we’ve managed to secure his services,” Irvine is quoted in the Tamworth Herald.
“He’s got pace and power, gets his fair share of goals and is also a creator of chances for others'.
Wolves want George Saville

Wolves manager Kenny Jackett has struggled to make permanent additions during the transfer window so far, but has targeted the 21-year-old as someone who can improve his squad.
