Spurs transfer news: £15m striker and Swiss defender linked; £10m midfielder exit possible

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur

Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck is keen to join Tottenham Hotspur, either on loan or permanently, according to the Mirror.

The England international looks unlikely to get much-game time under Louis van Gaal and a move to White Hart Lane could happen next week.

If the player completes a permanent transfer, a fee in the region of £15million is being suggested.

Welbeck would be an excellent addition to Tottenham’s forward line, and playing consistently there is no reason he could not score upwards of 20 goals a season.

In other news, Spurs are reportedly keen on signing Fabian Schar.

The Mirror reports that director of football Franco Baldini is desperate to sign the Swiss international who currently plays for FC Basel.

And finally, the Daily Star reports that Napoli are prepared to offer Sandro a four-year deal and pay £10million for his services.

The Brazilian midfielder’s future has reportedly been the subject of talks between the Italian club and Spurs in recent days.
