Tottenham went top of the league this afternoon with an impressive 4-0 win over Queens Park Rangers at White Hart Lane.
Mauricio Pochettino's men built on last week's late win over West Ham with a much more convincing display against QPR, and their dominance was evident from the first whistle to the last.
Nacer Chadli got Spurs off to a great start with delicate finish past Robert Green to give Spurs the lead on 12 minutes, and defender Eric Dier doubled their lead - becoming the first ever defender to score in his first two Premier League games for a new club.
The superb Erik Lamela then went on a dazzling run through the QPR defence before sending in a pinpoint cross for Chadli to head home his second, before Emmanuel Adebayor wrapped things up on 65 minutes. Spurs saw the game out professionally from there to go top of the league - though of course, we're only two games into the season.
It's a positive start from Spurs as the Pochettino era gets underway, and the ex-Southampton boss will be pleased to have taken six points from his first two games in charge. Their top four credentials will be tested next weekend when they take on Liverpool at White Hart Lane, but for now, Spurs fans can enjoy being top of the league - momentarily, at least.
